Elite 11 Finals 2026: Live Updates from Day 2
Day two of the 2026 Elite 11 Finals, featuring 20 of the nation’s top quarterback recruits, is underway from Mira Costa High School in Greater Los Angeles.
There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the event, which will celebrate its 28th year in 2026. It brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition, skill work and training, which culminates with a 7-on-7 skills showcase on Sunday.
Friday night featured a circuit of drill stations, followed by a ‘rail shot’ throwing challenge. Saturday night brings the Pro Day, where each quarterback will go through a scripted workout that mirrors what you’d see at the NFL Combine. Throwers will also compete in an accuracy challenge at the other end of the field.

Peter Bourque named Rivals MVP for Day 2
05/30/2026 11:45:19 PMAfter claiming the pro day title, Virginia Tech commit Peter Bourque claims Rivals MVP honors for day two of the Elite 11 Finals. Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power loved what he saw from Bourque on Saturday night.
“Bourque delivered one of the better pro day performances we’ve seen at the Elite 11 Finals in recent years. He was in complete control from start to finish,” Power wrote. “Bourque showed excellent movement within his drops, he had great timing while working under center, was in rhythm and understood the route concepts like the back of his hand.”
Bourque will be in the mix for overall Rivals MVP for the event, which will conclude with a 7-on-7 session on Sunday afternoon. Nebraska commit Trae Taylor took home Rivals MVP honors for day one.
Bourque beats Houston in throw-off
05/30/2026 11:22:58 PMVirginia Tech four-star commit Peter Bourque and LSU four-star commit Peyton Houston were each on target with 19 of their 20 throws on Saturday night. The two had a throw-off to tab a winner for the night and Bourque came out on top.
Abrams was the lone passer to finish 18-for-20. Half of the field finished 17-for-20
Miami commit Israel Abrams dazzles to close it out
05/30/2026 11:17:42 PMMiami four-star commit Israel Abrams was the last of the 20 passers to run through the script and he put together a tremendous showing. He was on target with 18 of his 20 throws, the third-best mark of the night. Abrams hit each of his first 18 throws.
“Abrams missed the last two throws, but other than that, surgical. He was ripping the football, not aiming it or throwing change-up.” — Greg Biggins
Abrams was not a top performer for Rivals on night one, but he’ll certainly be in the mix on night two. The Montini Catholic (Ill.) passer is the No. 44 overall prospect and No. 2 QB in the 2027 cycle. He’s been committed to The U since April 3.
Foot on the gas for Texas Tech commit Kavian Bryant
05/30/2026 11:08:31 PMTexas Tech four-star commit Kavian Bryant got off to a nice start and finished on target with 17 of his 20 throws. He’s the 10th passer of the evening to finish 17-for-20.
“Bryant has had some big-time throws, high-velocity thrower. Really impressive round, he played with some really nice pace.” — Greg Biggins
The Palestine (Texas) Westwood superstar is the No. 4 QB in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Texas Tech landed Bryant’s commitment back in November.
“I’m extremely blessed,” Bryant told Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman ahead of the competition this week. “Being able to compete with other top quarterbacks. The Elite 11 is always a great experience because it’s with the best of the best.”
Ohio State commit Brady Edmunds showing off arm
05/30/2026 11:02:33 PMOhio State four-star commit Brady Edmunds is the latest passer to be on target with 17 of his 20 throws on night two. He did have a strong finish, nailing each of his final nine throws.
“Edmunds is an old-school thrower, pocket guy with big arm. Mentioned it a few times, mobility still not there, struggling on roll outs.” — Greg Biggins
“There’s no question about Edmunds’ arm ability, but he wasn’t the best rolling out. He has a lot of talent but he’s best as a pocket-passer.” — Adam Gorney
Kentucky commit Jake Nawrot still impressing
05/30/2026 10:55:21 PMJake Nawrot was Rivals’ No. 2 QB on night one and the elite Kentucky commit brought it again on Saturday. He was on target with 17 of his 20 throws, cooling off a bit after hitting each of his first 10.
“Another 17-20 performance but probably best of the 17s group. And he just hit the crossbar from 50 yards out.” — Greg Biggins
Nawrot’s stock has soared ahead of his senior season at John Hersey (Ill.). He moved up to No. 27 overall and No. 2 at the QB position in the latest edition of the Rivals300 rankings. UK landed his commitment last month.
Ryan Rakowski continues breakout weekend
05/30/2026 10:49:36 PMThree-star Ryan Rakowski, who entered this weekend as the most unknown passer in the event, was on target with 17 of his 20 throws on Saturday night.
“Rakowski is undersized but he rips it and has looked good throughout his throws. Very surprising some Power Four schools aren’t taking a shot. They could after this weekend.” — Adam Gorney
The Palos Verdes (Calif.) signal-caller won the rail shot challenge to round out the opening night of the event and was named a top performer by Rivals’ Charles Power as a result.
“Rakowski will get dinged for his size but he has always shown underrated arm talent and was spinning it well in every drill we saw,” Power wrote. “He was very strong on the deeper outs and threw with accuracy and anticipation.”
Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher in middle of the pack
05/30/2026 10:42:38 PMOle Miss four-star commit Keegan Croucher was one of Friday night’s top performers. Tonight, he was on target with 16 of his 20 pro day throws, placing him amongst the middle of the passers that have gone so far.
“Croucher is a pure thrower, live arm but can change speeds and throw with touch as well.” — Greg Biggins
“Trae Taylor and Croucher with the most zip on their passes so far. Croucher gets it out.” — Adam Gorney
Sound showing for Alabama commit Elijah Haven
05/30/2026 10:36:23 PMAlabama five-star commit Elijah Haven, the No. 1 QB in the Rivals Industry Ranking, was on target with 16 of his 20 throws on night two. He nailed the first nine balls of his round.
“Haven started fast and then evened out, but even when he misses it looks pretty.” — Adam Gorney
Haven rounded out the Rivals top performers list on night one. Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote this of the Bama pledge:
“He made some impressive throws over the middle of the field when working from under center towards the end of the evening. There were also some nice flashes of downfield arm strength throughout the night. When everything clicked into place and he threw with confidence, Haven showed the ability that makes him one of the more toolsy quarterbacks in the cycle.”
LSU commit Peyton Houston shines on Day 2
05/30/2026 10:30:35 PMLSU four-star commit Peyton Houston is the second QB of the night to be on target with 19 of his 20 throws, joining Peter Bourque. He had a miss in the middle of his round, but otherwise was on the money.
“Houston has been very accurate throughout his series, some drops that shouldn’t be counted as misses. For someone undersized, he can deliver it with pace.” — Adam Gorney
“Houston is built for this, one of the more accurate throwers in the class. Really good round.” — Greg Biggins
Some good, some bad for top uncommitted QB Colton Nussmeier
05/30/2026 10:25:07 PMOne of two lefties in this year’s crop of Elite 11 Finalists, four-star Colton Nussmeier missed high and long a few times during his go at the gauntlet and finished on target with 14 of his 20 throws.
“Throwing with more zip tonight than Friday, Nussmeier lacked the arm to get the ball down the field last night. His misses tonight are long.” — Greg Biggins
“Nussmeier had some nice throws when stationary in the pocket. Struggled a little more when on the move but he does have pop in his pass.” — Adam Gorney
Nussmeier, the No. 16 QB in the 2027 cycle, is now the top uncommitted prospect at the position. Rivals’ Adam Gorney has more on the blue-chipper’s recruitment here.
Day 1 MVP Trae Taylor continues to showcase talent
05/30/2026 10:19:13 PMNebraska four-star commit Trae Taylor is the latest passer to be on target with 17 of his 20 throws. The Rivals Day 1 MVP had a strong start but missed on a few down the stretch. He’s one of six QBs that’s finished 17-for-20 thus far.
“I like how decisive Taylor is. Even on throws he’s missed, he’s not throwing change-ups just to complete the throw.” — Greg Biggins
“Taylor had some incompletions but the ball is popping off the receivers’ hands. The Nebraska commit can make every throw and it looks easy.” — Adam Gorney
Excellence from Virginia Tech commit Peter Bourque
05/30/2026 10:10:32 PMPeter Bourque puts together the performance of the night thus far at Mira Costa. The four-star Virginia Tech commit was on target with 19 of his 20 throws, setting a new bar to clear.
“Bourque showing off the arm strength, everything on a rope so far and really nice deep ball accuracy. The best session of the night.” — Greg Biggins
The new Hokies pledge also had a nice showing on night one, checking in at No. 6 on Charles Power’s list of top performers. He’s currently the No. 7 QB in the cycle, per the Rivals Industry Ranking.
“Bourque showed notable velocity when driving the football to the boundary. He was smooth in his movements and on time for much of the night,” Power wrote. “There may not have been as many true ‘wow’ moments as some others, but the Massachusetts native was steadily good and is positioned to make some noise the rest of the weekend.
Florida commit Davin Davidson takes his turn
05/30/2026 10:06:36 PMFlorida four-star commit Davin Davidson is up next and the Sunshine State gunslinger was on target with 16 of his 20 throws. He got off to a 5-for-5 start then maneuvered through some misses throughout the rest of his turn.
“Davidson hit the crossbar from 50 yards out. He’s the first one to do so, gets a custom set of shoulder pads.” — Greg Biggins
Clemson commit Kharim Hughley continues big weekend
05/30/2026 09:59:43 PMAfter turning some heads on night one, Clemson four-star commit Kharim Hughley put together another nice showing on Saturday. He was on target with 17 of his 20 throws.
“Hughley wasn’t always on the bullseye but he got better as the gauntlet went and he throws a really nice ball. Did have some misses along the way.” — Adam Gorney
The Gainesville (Ga.) passer checks in as the nation’s No. 208 overall prospect and No. 17 QB in the 2027 cycle. He’s been locked in with Dabo Swinney and the Tigers since last July. Hughley was a top performer for Rivals’ Charles Power on night one.
“He can get it out quick from different arm angles and still generate a lot of velocity. It was my first live exposure seeing him and Clemson fans should be very excited about what Hughley bring to the program,” Power wrote.
Strong finish for Michigan commit Kamden Lopati
05/30/2026 09:53:06 PMAfter three off-target throws early in the round, Michigan four-star commit Kamden Lopati dialed it in and nailed each of his last 12 throws. Overall, he was on target on 17 of his 20 balls, tied for the top mark so far this evening.
“Lopati doing phenomenally well down the stretch with some beautiful throws. Was struggling with some deep throws — either overthrows or too much air — but he tightened up.” — Adam Gorney
Cal’s new commit Dane Weber gets his shot
05/30/2026 09:46:25 PMCal Rivals four-star commit Dane Weber follows Knutson with another 14-for-20 performance. After fighting through a rough patch in the middle of the script, he had a strong finish and was on target with eight of his final nine throws.
“Weber got better late and hit some nice deep balls when he spun it well. Still throwing too many high and you don’t want to miss high.” — Adam Gorney
The 6-foot, 220-pounder out of Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral is the latest blue-chip QB prospect to come off the board. He pledged to Tosh Lupoi and the local Bears on Thursday.
Up-and-down round for Texas commit Ty Knutson
05/30/2026 09:41:05 PMAfter a strong start, Texas three-star commit Ty Knutson fizzled out late and finished his round on target with 14 of his 20 throws.
“What I liked about Knutson is that he didn’t try to game his throws. He was fast into his drops and delivered the ball with pace. Started strong but faded a little toward the end.” — Adam Gorney
Knutson, who’s been committed to the Longhorns since February, enters this weekend as the No. 34 QB in the 2027 cycle. He’s gearing up for his senior season at Smithson Valley (Texas).
Solid outing from Oregon commit Will Mencl
05/30/2026 09:38:46 PMOregon five-star commit Will Mencl, the No. 1 QB in the Rivals300 rankings, turns in another rock-solid showing. The Chandler (Ariz.) passer was also on target with 17 of his 20 throws.
“Ball comes out so nice from Will Mencl’s hand. Thought he got better as the round went on and hit the rail shot perfectly.” — Adam Gorney
Mencl is another passer coming off a really strong showing on night one of the event. Power ranked the Ducks pledge No. 5 on Friday night’s top performer list.

“Best of the three so far in terms of spinning it and on time. Purcell also threw it over the cross bar from 50 yards on the bonus throw. All three very strong so far.” — Adam Gorney
“Purcell’s arm strength has taken a big leap, saw him in person two years ago and he was more of a finesse guy like a lot of southpaws, can rip it now.” — Greg Biggins
Purcell was on target with each of his first eight throws. The 6-foot-1.5 gunslinger out of Maine South (Ill.) High made an early commitment to Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers back in July of 2025.
Alabama commit Trent Seaborn has a nice showing
05/30/2026 09:24:58 PMAlabama four-star commit Trent Seaborn follows up with a nice performance of his own. He was on target with 17 of his 20 throws.
“The best throw of the round for Seaborn was a 40-yard deep ball right on the money. Was on a nice run late in his round, really comfortable throwing outside the pocket. Decisive on the double seam throw.” — Greg Biggins
The Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson signal-caller enters this week as the No. 20 QB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
Missouri commit Braylen Warren starts the night off strong
05/30/2026 09:16:43 PMMissouri commit Braylen Warren kicks off the evening for the high school passers and he was on target with 16 of his 20 throws.
“Very solid round for Warren. Hit on some of the more difficult throws down the field.” — Greg Biggins
“Thought Warren looked really sharp. Spun it incredibly well. Even Demond Williams commented on how nice the ball looked. Deep balls were pretty and he didn’t have too much air under them. He missed a deep fade but really didn’t have any other overthrows. Strong showing.” — Adam Gorney
Warren came in at No. 7 in Power’s top performers on night one. The three-star out of Omaha (Neb.) Westside has been committed to Mizzou since Dec. 4.

Missouri commit Braylen Warren is expected to be the first high school passer up after the counselors.

“Taylor was in rhythm, throwing with velocity and quality accuracy throughout the night. We were impressed with his quick, whippy release,” Power wrote. “He gets the ball out of his hand in a flash and was able to drive the ball to all areas of the field. Taylor plays with a high level of confidence and assertiveness in this setting, while it took others some time to acclimate to the drills.”
Taylor, who’s transferring to Millard South (Neb.) for his senior season this fall, is currently the No. 63 overall prospect and No. 6 QB in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
