4-star safety Jordan Pride sets commitment date
Blountstown (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star safety Jordan Pride will make his college decision May 8 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Pride will choose between Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.
The 6-foot-2, 175 pounder was formerly committed to Florida State before decommitting on April 12th.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Texas A&M has the highest chance of landing a commitment from Pride. The Aggies currently sit with an 80.3% chance.
Pride told Gators Online’s Keith Neibuhr ahead of his decision that between Florida and Texas A&M, it was the Aggies who held the lead.
“Because of the relationship with Coach (Jimbo) Fisher,” Pride told On3. “I’ve known Coach Fisher my whole life. I played baseball growing up with his son.”

Pride ranks as the No. 101 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 8 safety and the No. 17 player in the state of Florida.
Aside from Florida State, Pride’s visited Florida and Texas A&M more than any other school. He’s visited Gainesville four times and was last on campus April 13 for the Gators’ spring game. He’s visited Texas A&M twice and was on campus last March 25.
