Four-star pitcher Daniella Boccanfuso becomes first 2027 Cal commit
Steve Singleton has landed his first commitment since taking over as head coach. Four-star pitcher Daniella Boccanfuso announced her pledge to the Golden Bears after her visit to Berkeley.
“Coach Singleton and his entire staff are really what drew me to Cal,” Boccanfuso said. “They have watched me and believe in me. Coach Sing has great things in store for Cal, and I am so excited and grateful to be a part of it!”

Boccanfuso has made a name for herself in the Athletic Mercado organization, helping them to the PGF National Championships. She carried a heavy load this summer in California during the 16U Premier title run.
The pitcher from Palos Verdes High School overcomes her shorter stature with her very good dropball. She competes and rises in the tough moments. Boccanfuso has the ability to change planes with her movement. Her pitches are deceptive and have the ability to hit spots in any count.
