COMMITMENT: Mississippi RB Eric Perry commits to Auburn
Three-star running back Eric Perry has committed to Auburn.
Perry, who attends DeSoto Central High School in Southaven, announced his decision on social media. His commitment comes soon after an official visit to Auburn.
“I want to play at the highest level … in the SEC,” he said. “When Auburn reached out to him, I was real excited.

“I knew it would Auburn the first time I came here. It feels great (to commit).”
Auburn running backs coach Derrick Nix played a part in Perry’s decision.
“He’s great,” Perry said. “I can’t wait to be coached by him. He was really the main factor. He called me and told me everything … talked about family. I felt the vibe that he really wanted me here and was being truthful.”
As a junior, Perry rushed for 880 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also passed for 866 yards and four scores.
He is the eighth commitment for Auburn in the 2026 class.
