“When he’s ready, put him in the game,” Davis said on Monday. “There’s no decision making. He’s progressing nicely. He was doing individual workouts, nothing five-on-five, but the last couple of days, he’s been five-on-five and been practicing with us. And so he’s progressing, and I like the way that he is.”
Trimble had his brace off on the sidelines on Saturday for the first time since sustaining his injury. He had surgery on his left arm last month after injuring it on Nov. 9
Trimble had begun doing individual, non-contact workouts with the team, Hubert Davis and some of Trimble’s teammates confirmed after UNC’s win against USC Upstate in the Smith Center on Saturday. He was able to shoot on his own after practice and work out in the weight room individually. An exact timeline wasn’t given for Trimble’s on-court return, but it was believed that he’d return soon.
