Versatile prospect who can line up as a slot, in the backfield or attached. Good route runner with quickness and smooth change of direction. Looks to have ability to run away from defenders after the catch. Could have played defense in college as well and brings some of that mentality as a blocker. Doesn't have the size of a traditional tight end but fits well as a modern move guy who can fit a variety of roles and schemes.

Smith has had an eight-year NFL career despite not being one of the league's bigger tight ends. But his skill set is varied. He can line up anywhere in a formation and block or get touches from those places which see see Oglesby as having a very similar future as far as his usage.
